thnks for the help. what I ended up doing, was to message myself with them, and
then create new contacts with the resulting contacts. and, yes, Ih googled it,
and didn't want to have to go to the Gmail site to do it. :) thanks again.

If these contacts are within the Contacts app, but only linked to your gMail
account, then you should be able to simply copy and paste into iCloud. If
they're only visible through the gMail web interface, then you'll likely need
to export them as vCards from the Contacts app of the gMail
