Hi all,
I upgraded today to Mac OS Sequoia 15.0, and I find the commanders are renamed
to commands and the content is very different.
What should I do if I want to add a new keyboard commander?!
Thank you so much

Hello All,
I ran into a strange phenomenon that I refer to as “Phantom Disabling of
Commanders.” I’ve had the commander for announcing date and time deployed on
my Mac Mini for years, but it wasn’t working today. I launched the VO
configuration and discovered that these had been turned off

Hi all,
For beginners like me, I strongly recommend commanders tutorial by John

The commanders pain of VoiceOver Utility is the place to go to look up existing
commands and add new ones if allowed. For example, in the trackpad tab,
clicking assign commands will reveal the existing gestures as well as ones

Are they enabled? Press vo-shift-k, and see if you hear "keyboard commander
on". If so, problem solved! If not, let us know and we can try to figure out
something else.

No, I am not asking how to make keyboard or track pad commanders. I have made
both and used them now for several weeks. But for some reason, my keyboard
commanders are no longer operational. I have my keyboard commanders set to work
with both option keys; one of them is option E for finding a

Thank you for the VO-shift-k tip, I did not know that command. :)
I may just change my commanders to either option key. This will really expand
my keyboard commanders.
BTW, do you use option N for notification center? Mine is set as a Mac
keyboard shortcut, not VO Commander.

Hi all,
For those of you that have both option keys for keyboard commanders, have you
come across any issues? An app needing the option key?
Currently, I only have it set for the right option key. This made sense for
most of my commanders.
Thanks,

Yes, that may work. Thanks for the suggestion. Now I just have to try to keep
both preference files separate...

Hi,
How about having them send you their VO preferences, load them on your Mac, add
the commanders they want, save and send it back to them? Then you just load
back your own VO preferences.

You can assign any command that appears in the commands menus to any commander
shortcut.
