If you happen to use braille you don’t even need VoiceOver in terminal.
You can use Brltty instead even though i haven’t got it working.
It needed some screen patch which i don’t know what that is really.

For the most part, yes. Editting conf files can be a little bit dicey in
places, but it's definitely doable as long as you pay close attention to what
you're doing.

lftp will definitely work. You should be able to install it by first
installing HomeBrew, then installing the lftp package. Finally, run it from a
terminal. The cls command is th
Remember with the Mac you have the full compliment of unix tools. You can go
to terminal and use the good old ftp client ftp. Also SCP and the complete
suite of ssh tools are also available for remote login and moving files.
