If it's the Mac, you will need to go into VoiceOver Utility and under the
Verbosity category, choose the, Text Tab. There will be a popup button for
telling VO what you want it to do with misspelled words. Change it to either,
do nothing, or, play tone.

This is happening to a friend of mine who is learning the Mac. I seem to
remember that I did something to make it stop, but I don’t remember what it is.
I looked in E-mail settings, but even under “spelling and grammar” there is
nothing that we try that works. Does anyone have an answer. Thanks

Yes, just like in a document, writing an email, entering text online, or
vo-l: read current line
vo-s: read current sentence
vo-p: read current paragraph
(for character and word, press the keystroke again to hear phonetics or spell
the word)

Hello, when reading e-mail, is there keys combination to read by word, or by

Thank you, your assistance is very much appreciated.

I haven't noticed this, but maybe try turning off cursor tracking? I
don't know if that will help, but perhaps it will cause the mac to not
move vo's focus?

Hello All.
Since I have not had my I phone (due to waiting for the five) I have been
reading e-mail on the Mac in threaded view which I like.
However, one of the most annoying things is, when new mail comes in, I find
that the focus has gone back to the first message in the thread. This is
