I'm still having trouble getting messages to open when I tap on the message
that has just come in. in fact, it hasn't happened yet with this phone. I don't
have a pass code set yet. I hope it's not just a quirk of this phone.

expands it, letting you see each message notification, but not taking you to
Messages. If you have a single message, tapping it will do what you
when I was using my 5-s running the last iteration of IOS 10, if I got a text
message I could tap on it and messages would open and I'd be right on that
person's message. that doesn't happen now with my new phone and IOS 12. is
there some setting I need to change or has that feature gone away?
