I tried crossover and Winonx, a $5 app that does the same thing. It failed to
run nvda as well as the audio game (which was my primary purpose for trying
it). I have given up and will be investigating virtualbox soon instead of
bootcamp as I rely increasingly on the mac for day-to-day activities
its a linux app that is used in linux and jaws or nvda won't work with it.
didn't know they did a mac port of it.

Ah, but what about screen readers such as NVDA or System access to go? I
figured that there might be some VO issues; but, if one could get NVDA
running…oops, that would depend on windows API's too would it not? Same issue
would crop up I reckon.
Thoughts?
Okay, maybe I'd just better say why
I haven't used it but that is supposed to be the gist of it. It emulates
the windows APIs (application programming interfaces) so that windows
apps can run without actually having windows installed. This is the idea
behind Crossover

which is based on WINE.
Okay,
Anybody here ever heard of Wine? It's supposed to be a windows imulater that
lets you run windows software on a Mac without actually installing windows. I

what I'm refering to; and, how accessible it is?
