Is this a proof of concept or can we plan on trying it out in the near
future. Can't make NAB, but very interested...
Thanks,

Hi Folks,
Just a little annoucement that we will be showing a demo at NAB next week at
our booth using a few N800s as a end-point uPnP streamer and multicast FLUTE
data receivers, for files and multicast data packaged and tagged by our
headend applications and received by our edge routers over si
I was wondering if anyone could shed more light on the hardware issue
regarding the dead pressure zone on the right side of some N800's. Mine has
been gradually deteriorating to the point that I now have to apply a lot of
force to the screen to get the right scroll bar to even move.

There is actually no need to setup samba on the VM - you can use the shared
folders capability of VMWare Tools which is already installed on the VM.
However I am not sure if you are using the free VMware player - this feature
may not be available on it?

This is a kernel issue with Ubuntu 6.10 running on M, C3 and some other
processors. I have a laptop with an M here. If I have some time this weekend
I will try do a custom kernel as a boot option and hopefully that fixes it.

This is a verified kernel issue on 6.10. Try add linux acpi=off to the boot
parameters.
Let me know if it works. If there are still issues I will compile in a
custom kernel as a boot-time option in the next release of the VM.

Hi,
The wiimote will not pair with the N800/770 via the onscreen dialogs because
they force input of at least a one digit passkey for the bluetooth pairing.
The wiimote doesn't make use of passkeys - it will simply pair without one.

The 3.0 appliance has the scratchbox as a separate vmdk drive image which is

If people want 2.0 I can certainly add it. I still have a 770 and a few apps
recompiled for the 770 as it is.
As for multiple versions.. I don't
It will allow you to compile the applications that have been released as
open source on the N800 inside the VM scratchbox, and run them via Xephyr,
also inside the VM. You can run and debug your console and GUI applications
with CPU transparency.

Hi All,
I have put together a 3.0-based VM Appliance built on Ubuntu. It is online

If anyone has suggestions for improvements and non-bittorrent hosting please
