Is there any chance that the "new" OS for the N900 would run or be
available for the N8x0 crowd? This seems similar to the relationship
of the Apple iTouch to the iPhone where they can both run the same OS,
just one is missing the phone and other minor features.

Think I can take some scissors and trim that down to fit into the n800?

How about making the n810 a blue tooth GPS Transmitter? Then we could
pair it with devices that do not have GPS built into them... like a
laptop or Palm/Ipaq/Axim type device. I am not a programmer so that
type of util is out of my realm.

Thanks, man.
I had just thought of that when I sent the message. I kept the battery
out for a bit to make sure it was reset.
My n810 is working again. It got caught up when running an mplayer avi.

I have found that the better alarm is actually the alarm built in to
N810. It even will start the device if it is turned off, I believe.
The only problems are there is not enough room for notes, or a location,
and no calendar view.

Is there a "Write Protect" tab for the internal memory?

Is there a graphical SFTP client which works with bora? I've tried gpe-

I found a post about gftp on the N800, but AFAICS that is not at all
integrated with the N800 desktop.

I see this as well. In fact there are times when I think it has dropped
the connection or hung as I cannot type any keystrokes and see them
echoed. If I wait a while the N800 seems to come back and I can type again.

The IBM development site where I worked had some variant of WEP + EAP

a decent business managing networks for other companies, and I wouldn't
be surprised if they use WEP + EAP at customer sites too.

Realistically, people are not going to buy the 770 when a superior

It would be really nice to have adblock capability (or url blocking with
wildcards) in the 770 browser. Given the limited resources of the
device, it is extremely annoying to see them wasted on pop-ups and
