I have succedded to connect my USB keyborqd on my Nokia N 810 using
USB-Control in Host mode.
Everything works fine except .. my AZERTY keyboard is understood
like a QWERTY keyboard !!!
I tried to make a loadkeys fr as root but loadkeys is unknown to
busybox !!!
does
setxkbmap
Begins to work !
After doing
setxkbmap -layout fr ( as root )
I get azerty when typing azerty
But I cannot get any accent or symbols like @ | or ] !
I must have to say to X that it is s generic 105 keyboard
I look at the manpage of setxkbmap !
Thanks

section of the Control Panel but without any success )
Thanks for your help !

I, too, have successfully used a regular USB keyboard as described below,
but with my Nokia N800.
I would love to use my Alphasmart Neo as a USB keyboard with my Nokia N800,
but it is not recognized by the N800.
I have tried both the usb-otg-plugin and USB Control.

No, nothing needs to be installed in Chinook and
just need a table entry ... the hope is
faint because the keyboard works just fine on other Linux systems, and
I'd imagine they'd all use the same list of IDs and classes.
I guess the next things to try are an ordinary USB keyboard, and the
Alphasmart with a powered hub. The Alphasmart Neo has
USB

My Gyration wireless keyboard gives me the same errors, but the
keyboard works anyway. What's actually happening in my case
it makes it available as
a file system over the USB port.

No, nothing needs to be installed in Chinook and Diablo, it just works.

This should get you started...
Get what the mode is currently set:
cat /sys/devices/platform/musb_hdrc/mode)
Turn off the onscreen kbd:
gconftool-2 -t bool -s /system/osso/af/keyboard-attached true
Turn on the onscreen kbd - this is important as is sometimes doesn't happen

Yes, it will, and it works better (in some ways) than the 770. You
will need to flash a kernel that supports USB
