We name them foobar-debug instead.
Due to this, we've to patch various packages (gdb, ...) for that.
And we've to maintain those patches of course...
What do you think about naming them -debuginfo like other distros

the -dev ml about packages that are WIP and/or known to break bs...
I'm in the process of updating ppl from 0.11.2 to 1.0
(and cloog-ppl to whatever matching version is)

Sounds like less patching. Hard to argue with that. Unless there was a way
to make it easier to do the patching. Saves a mass rebuild and makes the
job easier.
