Is it possible (and how) for the administrator to do a system-wide
announcement post that will appear on every mailing list?
Thanks

No virus found in this outgoing message

That we can also have English (UK) as well as English (US) as an option?
I'm not asking for a different language! ;-)
Its just that running British mailing lists, I get some interesting

3. The virus posts copies of itself pretending to be

Result... the virus gets posted to the list, as Mailman (rightly) sees
it as being from a list member.... even if i

I just tell folks "when you receive the message asking for

In the first admin screen. General Options
"Send mail to poster when their posting is held for approval?"
Set that to "NO"
and then the message doesn't get sent back to the user.
And that solves the problem.

For example, for the admin address to default to something else if left

It isn't Mailman... it is the way that *your* email software
*interprets* the footers.
X-Mailer: Openwave WebEngine, version 2.8.11 is what you are using.
Others using different software to read mail will not have the problem.

Is it possible (in 2.1.1) to set up one of my lists so that all

mail?
I appreciate that this may at first appear to be silly, but I want to

Is there any way to globally prevent a troublesome person from
subscribing to *any* mailing list? (We have over a hundred lists
running).
