Randall,
Is Benny aware of this?
I don't know. But it has certainly been mentioned on this list several
times through the years by other users.
It's never really bothered me enough to file a bug report ...

it pops up a dialog demanding the password for various accounts,

Benny,
Somehow MailMate misinterprets a repeated error as a possible password

This is probably a stupid question but will MailMate work on a Mac

Yes, works fine (build 5789).

Rob,
Is it just me?
What do do have in Preferences > Viewer > Mark messages read after X
seconds?
You can either put a longer time e.g. 60 seconds or remove the tickmark
altogether, which should make messages only be marked read manually.

Shoshanna,
Maybe the lack of URL popups is due to my OS being behind the times?
That’s a distinct possibility. I’m on 5757 on Big Sur. No doubt

Will I be able to install the latest beta from the 1.x branch without

I moved from the 2.0 branch to the 1.X beta a couple of builds ago

Can someone tell me how to adjust the outgoing template (css) to
change the line-spacing on the html portion of outgoing mail?
From the helpfile:

The default themes for generated HTML does not include a specific

Robert,
Is it possible somehow to have an INBOX (or smart mailbox) that shows
full threads while showing only those threads that touch the INBOX?
In the ‘Examples’ folder that comes by default with a new MM
installation there should be a smart mailbox called ‘Personal inbox
with threading’.
Glenn,
That’s cute, but frankly it’s overly technical and not very
user-friendly.
I don’t see how using the correct term is not user friendly. Just
because you happen to not have heard it before doesn’t make it wrong -
I see MiB and kib as often as I see MB and kb nowadays. Remember

Glenn,
BTW, another odd bit is the use of “MiB” and “KiB”. In
English, “MiB” is most likely read as “Men In Black” (the
movie). “Megabyte” is just “MB” (there’s not even an “i”
in the word), and “Kilobyte” is just “KB”.
Actually these are the correct ISO standard names for 1024 bytes or 102
Steve,
Hmmm... I'm not seeing that behavior unless the message I'm

Yes you’re right, sorry. I’ll try to remember to redirect rather
than forward then …

Steve,
That's a redirect.
I have to admit I’ve never heard of a redirect before. But choosing
‘redirect’ in Mailmate’s menu seems to also add quotes to the
‘redirected’ message. So that doesn’t really help …

Charlie,
E-mails have historically used quoting and indentation to provide
context when replying to e-mails.
Yes, but a forward is not the same as a reply. I too would prefer that
forwarded messages didn’t quote the forwarded message - or change it
in any way.

Andrey,
Doesn't this issue bother anyone else?
Not really. But the default ‘go back to last view’ is `Cmd+Ctrl+[`
or `Cmd+Ctrl+Alt+(`. Maybe that is better than using `Esc`? Take a look
at the *Custom Keybindings* section of the MailMate helpfile if you
want to remap the keybindings.

Good mailers just have one "Re: ". No "whatever".
*Whatever* can be different language variants. In Danish it is ’Sv:
