I agree that forwarding and distribution lists are the most likely reasons. Another common possibility is what exim calls local_part_prefix and local_part_suffix, often adding a "+" and a tag to the local part of the address, but I imagine that your operators would recognise those. I

Happy Friday everyone and a Happy Passover/Easter/Good Friday to all those that apply :) We’ve been using List-Unsubscribe with both the “mailto” and the “unsubscribe url” for quite some time. We have a back-end process that sends all unsub requests to a mailbox in which we parse and opt
