When I select any feature on the layer the features disappears and get white
background. After that even if I restart the application it cannot bring
back the geometry.
I had to restart MapGuide server every time to bring back the geometry
The entire map becomes white?
YES it become white
There were some instability issues previously (and there are still some
now) with the OGR provider.
Int the file serverconfig.ini, try adding OSGeo.OGR to the
DataConnectionPoolExcludedProviders.
I have not seen the problem you are describing before.
What version of MapGuide are you using?
What do you mean you don't fill it out?
When you create a temporary featuresource, it gets an id like
Session:-//temp.FeatureSource.
You must insert that name into the resourceID tag, otherwise it won't show.
Can you display the features if there is no tooltip ?
If yes, keep in mind
Hey Buddy,
I think you can use oracle locator if u r allowed to as
i belive its built in with Oracle 10g and no need to go with extra Spatial
License and all,but if u r restricted to use non-spatial data ,i don't think
its big problem to get point using the X,Y Values
So, is this error known that some CoordinateSystems are not working with
MGOS? Is there anywhere a list of these CoordinateSystems? I still hope that
I made a mistake because I have neither the time nor the knowledge to
transform the whole database into another WKT.

Here is the sql 'knowledge' you need to transform your table. Just plug in

I built MGOS 2.0.1 and fdo-3.3.0 in Ubuntu 7.10.
I couldn't configure data connection with PostGIS FDO provider and ldd
complains:
$ ldd -r fdo-3.3.0/lib/libPostGISProvider.so
linux-gate.so.1 = (0xe000)
libPostGISOverrides-3.3.0.so =
I know RFTM comes in to play here but I appreciate your direction as I am
pressed for time. Thank you very much!

Thank you all for your help!
I tried at first to override the coordinate system with an 'Arbitrary X-Y

but like Dennis said, it fails. In the preview I got the error that the

Can anyone verify that this happens to them as well? It happens when the

This is a known issue. See http://trac.osgeo.org/mapguide/ticket/378 for
the patch. I can confirm that the patch has worked for several of my and
client sites using both MapGuide Open Source 2.0.1 or MapGuide Enterprise
2009. Unzip the zip file to your \webserverextensions\www\mapagent folder
My best guess is that the repository is corrupted somehow.
I can't remember how you use the db_* tools, but I have seen a short
description once.

The "MgInvalidStreamHeader" usually comes out when the
serialization/deserialization of objects fail.
Since Maestro does not use the serialization features of MapGuide at
that point, it must be some
internal serialization that goes wrong.

Hello MapGuide Open Source Users,
Is it possible to compile MapGuide Open Source without Java (J2SE)?
Per http://mapguide.osgeo.org/2.0/docs/BuildInstallQuickStartLinux.html
MapGuide
requires the J2SE Development Kit. Download and install the J2SE Development
kit from
Has anybody tried this? I am also experiencing this problem, however I still
get a http 500 error even after I restart the service. Once I come back the
next day, the server will work for an hour or so in use, then will start
throwing the symbolize error again.
Any ideas?
Thank You,
Tyler
I would have to say from personal experience that Java is only needed if you
use the -withtomcat option when building. That is if you want to run JSP
pages but I prefer the PHP since MapAdmin required this anyway. One less
thing to worry about. On a side note I install with -port 80 so I can use
Most datasources should be able to use this as a link:
'http://www.example.com?id=' + idcolumn + 'x=' + xcolumn
All datasources should be able to use concat:
concat(concat(concat('http://www.example.com?id=', idcolumn), 'x='),
xcolumn)
If your data has a column named 'idcolumn' and 'xcolum',
I keep getting a JavaScript Access Denied when clicking save map. The
formats I tried were GIF, PNG, JPEG and getting around to DWF with Print
Layouts.

Hi Kenneth,
I trace down the code, i realise that the value of ResourceID is assigned
