I found nothing wrong with the file, and the fact that it shows the

I just remembered a few things:
1. In a previous version of MapGuide, tooltips would only show on
selectable layers
2. There exists a flag called hastooltips in the runtime layer. I'm

Sadly, due to the constant crashes I am having to revert all of our maps back
to mapguide 6.3
hopefully things will smooth out more in future releases.

yeah, I had that in place. It's odd that some of these errors only started
happening on this new box which has a lot more horsepower than the previous
one.
i'm going to keep mgos installed and try to do some testing to try to figure
out what exactly is causing things to die on me.

can you describe the specs of the two machines ?
had you tweaked the serverconfig.ini for the size of the machine?

how do they perform if you remove the rasters ?

That's the sticky part, because with it being available to the public (which
I'm in the process of switching out pages so that the general public no
longer goes to the mgos pages) it had to have the rasters in place. If I'm
the only one hitting the pages, with or without rasters, it works
I have similar crashing problems with 2.0.1 and also suspect raster issues,
although there are no clues in the error or event logs about this. The
reason I suspect raster issues is that when things start to go wonky, maps
with no raster work for a little while maps with raster fail to render.
I will forward this link again in regards to IIS and .NET.
The posting talks about issues with the Memory Pool and how it faults now when
it used to fail silently. Perhaps this has something to do with it?

Hi Dave,
I'm already setup that way and still seeing issues. The final faults are at
the mgserver.exe level rather than IIS.

I wanted to do that on this fresh install, but the web site originated as all
asp. Currently it's a mixed asp/php environment so unfortunately apache
isn't a really good option at this point, though once I eventually do get
everything over to php I will look into doing so.

It may be an incompatibility in Studio that's the problem then -
because my xml certainly doesn't look anything like that. I'll give it
a try in Maestro a little later, and then if that doesn't work, I'll
edit the xml myself...

It's quite possible (actually, I'm pretty sure) that the definition for
the SaveMap widget has changed considerably in Fusion trunk since 1.0.x,
so it's possible that neither Studio nor Maestro will generate these
correctly.
Also, the code in the SaveMap widget catches MapGuide exceptions, but

I have not tried to integrate it into a Fusion layout, so I don't know for

On more of a personal level is there a reason why you didn't make this with

standard as far as development and support. Any thoughts on your

The page size (dimensions and margins) are hard-coded to inches for DWF

project to parameterize the units for the page size as well; that might
be important for non-US/Canadian page layouts.
