It is on my agenda. It takes a little more work but I am preparing
myself for long hot working summer.
We are not using it with 3.4 at this moment but if there is interest I
might do it sooner then later.

Everything works fine but not the query tool.
In query\classes\query.aspx, Execute() procedure, I got an error

Mapguide version is 2.0.2 with FDO 3.4
The map has EPSG=3003

The problem is for layer with FDO Provider: OSGeo.ODBC and it's ok for SDF
layers.
OSGeo.ODBC data connection has no spatial context information (SDF layer
connection has it!).
Do you know how can I provide spatial context information for ODBC geometry?

Within a project I switched from SDF provider to king.oracle (0.8.9) and
now, selection in fusion doesn't work anymore for same data (no error, but
no highlighting nor attributes)
After investigating a little bit I found the following Selection-XML in
Query.php:

I haven't had any issues with items 2 and 3 when I've done this in the past
for a package that's about 1 GB. I agree, larger packages would be less
manageable. I see your point on item 1 but I don't use resource-based
permissions, but certainly something for others to be aware of.

The packages work well with small repositories. As long as all the resource
headers are included in the packages (they should), the permissions should be
preserved.

Are you talking about the GDAL provider or using the GDAL library directly in
PHP?
If you are talking about the provider, GDAL is encapsulated in the form of a
FDO provider and that is further encapsulated as MapGuide's Feature Service
API. MapGuide has no direct knowledge about GDAL.
