Not really.
I would recommend using WMS server such as OnTerra for Bing
(http://register.onterrasystems.com/wms.aspx) with costs a subscription, or
WMS of OpenStreet map.
Either way, it is still dynamic. You can then use a TILED map using an WMS
layer and generate static tiles.

As Martin writes, you can use the same computer for both.
However in a production environment you will have a server with MapGuide and
on your laptop/destop you will have Maestro and you can configure multiple
servers from your own computer.
In my situation we have a lot of Amazon servers with MapG
Both can be loaded to the same machine.

Yes, you need to install the MapGuide server also. Maestro is the application
used to configure/setup the maps/layers on the MapGuide server.

i'm new in Mapguide Maestro.. I try to download and install the Mapguide
Maestro 5.1. I succeed to download and install it in Windows, but i have a
