I do not know how exactly to change the location of spool directory.
but you may directly spool to printer from printer properties -->
spool setting ---> directly to printer.
I think that can solve the problem.

If you just want the image in Words, make the toolbar active by selecting it,
press ALT+PrintScreen Togather
the image is now in clipboard
paste it wherever you want or edit it with painbrush and paste it in words.

Select the point / line of which you want to make the buffer
create a new table based on desired distance from all sides.
do desired union / intersaction operation from both the tables !
