MI Selecting and Editing Multiple Layers Simultaneously

Is it possible to select and edit multiple layers in MI 5.5 simultaneously? What I want to do is select all from multiple layers, and then make them editable and then reposition them. I dont think that it is possible but I thought I would throw it out there and see what happens. TIA Kris
