MI-L no DBASE linking into access - index file not found

Hi Listers, I am unable to trick access into linking a mapinfo table (dbase format). Access looks for the nonexisting dbase index file and refuses to link the MItable. Error: MS Jet Database engine could not find the object... I would appreciate any suggestions Thanks Herry
