Hi Listers,
I am unable to trick access into linking a mapinfo table (dbase format).
Access looks for the nonexisting dbase index file and refuses to link the
MItable. Error: MS Jet Database engine could not find the object...
I would appreciate any suggestions
Thanks Herry
I am having trouble building queries on ODBC links, and I wonder if anyone
can shed any light on this for me?
Having gone through the setup for ODBC, making the table containing the
coordinates mappable etc, and opening it in MapInfo, I am trying to use the
BuildSQL tool which comes with MI. The
I have put in the Beta Testing section of www.paris-pc-gis.com a first
version of Split_Pgon that splits a one-polygon region with a one-section
polyline. It may not be a unique tool for doing that, but in the process of
writing it, I found that this kind of operation raises some very interesting

Hello all,
I have several point files that I have transformed into grids in
Vertical Mapper using the Natural Neighbour Analysis point density
calculation and then natural neighbour interpolation to get out a

Hi Listers,
FYI
it seems that MI tables in dbase format are only imported correctly into
Access if the file names conform to DOS limitations (8.3).
I knew there was a reason why I preferred Unix...

Hello Bruce,
I don't know about following the directions in the book, but if you just
open the example provided with MapBasic (MFC based) it should get you on
your way.
I believe the example is a MDI application. If you wish to work with Dialog
based, you may need to change a little but not
I hope someone out there can help.
