Hello,
I work on the orientation of polygons in the space; I mean how some very
irregulars archaeological objects are orientated on the floor (refferred to
the North).
For that, in my opinion, I think that I could find automatically, for each
polygon : the nodes most spaced between them (in the sa

The problem is probably Postscript. MapInfo and Adobe Postscript generally
don't get along. HPGL2 printer language on the other hand works fine with

I'm trying to add GPS navigation to a mbx without having to run Geotrack.
Is it possible for a mbx to capture data from the com port without a
VB(.exe) program ?
If not, could Hyperterminal be used with DDE (or OLE) ?
Thanks

That was really weird. I hadn't received a single message from this
list all day until I sent a message saying exactly that. In the 20
minutes since then I have been flooded with new MapInfo-L messages.
That just seems really odd

Hello list-
Has anyone found a way to save a MapInfo grid image to a more conventional
image format like tiff, bmp, etc.?
I've tried save-window-as, printing to file, etc. but the resulting quality
is always quite poor. Don't care about retaining registration points or
other geo-attributes.

I assume you are using the 'Create Legend' function - Mapinfo version 6.0 ?
In Legend Properties, you can increase the Font size, which automatically
increases the object regions to match the text size. This is about all you
can do to get the regions larger. If your legend isn't too comple
Hi,
How do I call a thematic legend through integrated mapping (using VB) to

For exemple, after I set "Next Document" = Picture1, what's the command to
populate the picture with the theme legend?

I have 2 aerial photos (format is black-and-white bitmap image files) of the same
location taken on separate dates. If I can succesfully line up the images, can I
subtract one image from the other to reveal the differences? If so, how? Suggestions

Problem solved (thanks to Martin Harvey at Hampshire Wildlife Trust) and
much easier than I thought it would be. Using Grid Maker in Tool Manager I
was able to make the appropriate sized polys for the whole area, matching
exactly the other grid.
Excellent stuff
