I have developed a small application for 3D flying a MapInfo MIG or Vertical Mapper
GRD gridfile. Its made for geological depth grids in mind, but might also be useful
for other things. Look under download for

This is the CLX libraries from Delphi. It is probably a mistake on
Jakob's side that he has linked in dependency of these DLL's.
The CLX libraries are for cross-platform development between windows and
linux.

MapInfo/MapBasic has WindowContentsChanged and SelectionChanged handlers
which can be used to see of any edits have been made - use the TableInfo
functions to see if any modifications have been made. You can't tell which
row the edit has been made in - the TAB format doesn't expose this
Hi all,
I am creating a simple GIS using DemoShield to open workspaces with MapInfo
ProViewer. The workspaces on the CD do not register a file association
linked to MapInfo ProViewer and are therefore not opening. I can manually
register the workspaces with MapInfo but I need this to be automated
Ahmet,
There is a distinct lack of 3d stuff now that VF has disappeared. The 3d
scene in Mapinfo is good, but not too great for portraying non-grid map data
in non-grid ways. I did write qik_VRML as a sort of work around for a
project i was working on a couple of years ago to do this kind of
Hi all
I have been asked to provide a print file to a client in rtl format, but as
far as I can see my HP750c driver only produces .prn files. Does anyone know
how to produce an rtl file (which I believe is a raster, rather than vector,
format file)?
Thanks
Caroline
Lots of thanks to Uffe, there was a reference to linux as he wrote. The missing
qtinf.dll error should now be fixed. There is a updated MI3D version 1.3 on
http://www.lanstorp.com under download.

Yes, of course. I want to display numbers with it, but in a special
format. So I didn't find the poor description in the MI-Help very
helpful.
Hello all,
Thought I'd ask a question for a change!
Does anyone know if Pro (and TAB files generally) support double byte
(Unicode) characters? I know that this must be supported in the many
localised versions of Pro (especially non Latin-alphabet based languages). I
have Unicode fonts which
Hello,
Whenever a user clicks on an object I would like mapbasic to be able
to read an attribute associated with a specific column. ie
if the user clicked on a point the attribute within the specified field(city)
would be passed ie (Denver). I would also like this information to
Hi all,
Does anyone know if it is possible to connect to a FileMaker Pro database
through MI? Or, alternately, any kind of scripting or plugin that would
allow a FileMaker Pro database to interact with MI? I know this is possible
with MS Access but am not familiar with FileMaker.

I started working on a minor enhancement to mapplet this morning to add
line drawing for use in a distance measuring tool. I know Rosa supports
something like this. Has anyone done this with mapplet? Or is anybody
already working on it?

Surfer is still improving and that is important (their old defaults was
highly problematic and the result was nice colour maps, but with a weak
professional foundation). I agree, that its is possibly to solve the
integration problems, but without VM we will still need other tools for
