Hi Ben, My guess would be that these symbols are so tightly integrated in the MapInfo code that they can't be dumped altogether. Besides, a vast amount of data relies on these symbols, so just removing it would break too many things. The 3.0 compatable font is tied to the file MAPINFOW.FNT,
