But I did call mapinfo to let them know they should make something better
and more flexible.
I think it would help if you can call mapinfo or just write an e-mail to

I have three tables containing three different kinds of information about lands. I'd
like to produce a layer which reflects where all three datasets are present. The
datasets all conform to the same grid and where they are present they overlap 100%.

If you want just the geographic selection and the values from one of the
specified tables (this could be the geography id) then you can do it with a
single SQL statement.
