Hello all
I was asked about the Gauss-Kruger 106° meridian. I am situated in the
Mekong Delta in Vietnam, and it seems that most older maps are made in
this system.
What is the MI name for Gauss-Kruger 106° meridian?
What is the approx. difference between Gauss-Kruger 106° meridian and
Thanks Melissa
I ran the query and there was one record that did not contain an obj, so
once that record was removed the code worked fine.
I think I may have to monitor how this function goes and place something
like the Where clause suggested by Soren into the code to capture any
bad records
Dear All,
We are doing some street surveys using gps.
Depending on the time, there will be, at a given location (X,Y),
different numbers of GPS satellites that can be seen by our gps.
The more satellites we can see the better the data quality is.
Satellite are using almanac.
I am looking

Trimble has a program called quick plan in their pathfinder office. It
appears to be a free download on their web site.

From a laptop with Mapinfo on it, I want to click on the maps in Mapinfo, download
the coordinate in the GPS and the GPS will tell me go in that direction for x
numbers of milles Eventually that could be made for a hand held device but not a
priority.

Thanks Leith,
Your suggestion of using the ODBC connection has solved my problem of
updating the map w/o the use of 'create points', making the whole
process a lot less painful; thanks for that!
Also a big thanks to all others who offered suggestions on linking
directly to forms; it seems as if
Hello,
I am getting geocoding failures. When I re-geocode in Interactive mode,
these records produce the message, 'Address was not matched, Invalid input
parameter was given to the geoengine.' I can't see any problem with the
addresses (they have complete Street, City, State and ZIP fields). In
Hi Robert,
I too have found no explicit way of getting the thematic info layer and its
symbology. There is, however, an implicit way of doing it(and many other
things). In a way, you do a save without the save. All you have to do is
use the WindowInfo(FrontWindow(),Win_Info_CloneWindow) command
Sorry,
That command noted below should be
WindowInfo(FrontWindow(),Win_Info_Workspace).

Hello all:
is it possible to hotlink to another map window in the
same workspace file? what I want to is click on a
coarse point location in the provincial boundary
level, then the hotlink will lead me to another city
boundary level map, if possible, I would prefer to the
accurate site location
From time to time we have a situation when we print and certain features
don't show up on the final output.
If we send the print to a different printer or open the workspace on a
different computer and print to the
original printer we can sometimes get a complete print.
It is almost like a cached
Hello all...
I've got a very tricky question and I am not sure if its possible. I have a
table with about 50 records and each records have about 12 columns worth of
information. I just added one extra column called grand total. Now, I like
to sum the column for the each records and put the new

This should be possible - there are 2 ways I have
I just did this with 40 columns of data and 9000 records. Couldn't figure
out how to do it in MapInfo, so exported the .dbf, loaded into Excel and
used the Summation function to get the row totals. Then exported back into a
second .dbf and imported into MapInfo.

Hi all,
I am beginning to learn MapBasic and am completely stumped. I am trying to create a
program that allows me to assign standared geographies (block groups, census tracts,
etc) to a point location. I have the routine completed so I know what I want it to do
but I don't know how to use
Any advice on how-to or tools out there for generating Cad-type long
sections for say a pipe network?
Thanks
