Hi!
I would try to export the table to a mif-file, then read it back using
v6.5
If there should be any differences between 4.5 and 6.5 regions, these
should be eliminated in this process.
However, I am not aware of any such version dependent differences in the
region data structure. Perhaps yo
You could use the Object variable that is designed to hold geographical objects of any
kind.
So if you'll fetch the object from a table use this syntax:
Dim oCur As Object
Fetch First From MYTABLE
oCur = MYTABLE.OBJ

Table structure info can be found in the tab files. The tab file is a text

Probably the easiest way is to print out the .tab file. it has all the

Does anyone know of an application that can link a number of images and
documents to spatial objects in different tables?
The ultimate scenario would be to click on the object in a MapX
application and be able to view documents and images associated with
that spatial object.
TIA

I have several tables generated thru DXF import which have consistent field
names, however the properties of these field arent consistent ie Table1
visable will have char 5 prop. Table2 visable will be set to small integer
and so on.
Is these away to print a table structure report for each table,
I was hoping to store the text from the table - as if storing a label as
a string variable in a mapbasic script. Any ideas?
Thanks for your reply - Sam

Good Morning
I have had a problem very much similar to this. every now and then while
doing something incredibly simple such as resizing a window or moving a
label Mapinfo (v7.0) will "freeze" like it is busy processing.
Sometimes this will take about 5 minutes and then un-lock itself somehow,
but
After running a MapBasic application (which hat to be killed finally)
MapInfo pro 7.5 seems to be in an endless loop while processing a select
statement showing only the hour glass using 90% of CPU (running Windows XP).
Restarting does not help. Even reinstallation does not seem to be helpful.
Hi.
I am digitizing some linework for a client in MapInfo. The client has asked to
guarantee 95% confidence in accuracy. Can anyone tell me how large a sample out of a
population that I need to reach the 95% confidence level? If for example that I have
100 polylines digitized, how many woul
Hi,
Is there a way MapInfo V5 can perform queries to return adjacent objects? (i.e.
return all the regions that are adjacent to a specific region?)
Thank you in advance for your time and help.

Hello,
I have a TAB file using version 4.5 regions. To get it to work with other software
outside of MapInfo, I need to convert them to more up to date regions. Can anyone
tell me how to convert them? I'm using MapInfo Pro 6.5. Thanks.
Regards,
Sam
