Thanks very much for mentioning our software Seb. I'd just to like to add that
Maps4Site will work on all Pocket PCs not just 2003.
This is because it's written using Microsoft Embedded Visual C++ 3.0 which
will run on PPC from Pocket PC 2000 to the latest. The footprint is very small

Does anyone out there know of a workaround to exceed the limitation on
the number of open tables within a workspace? I'm currently running
MapInfo 7.0 and MapBasic 7.0. Thanks!

Hi List,
Thanks for your help with my questions over the last few days.
But; another question :)
What is the limit of the amount of raster map 'tiles' that I can
register and then merge into a seamless table?
I have 1,240,000 raster map tiles and have written a tool to register
these
Try adding the same table twice in layer control and then do one thematic
map on one column where the region style is a fill, and border is N. The
other layer is thematisied on the other col and the border is selected, and
the fill is N, This would be manually done in the Styles section
The problem with doing this is that MapInfo changed the way they did line
thicknesses several versions back. MI Pro used to thicken lines toward the
inside of the polygon, which would let you see individual color values. Now
they thicken the lines from the centerline, so everywhere polygon edges
I have experimented with drawing lines with some offset so that coincidental
lines will not overlap. That means creating new line styles with one or
different offsets from centre and making sure that all polygons are drawn in
the same direction (to have the offset always towards the centre)
My apologies, this (adding same table back in and running a thematic on it
twice, once for each Col) did not work. I usually test before advising, and
I did not on this occasion.
However, running a query selecting by each unique value and on each Col,
then coloring each subset, or using style
Hi there,
I am a new Mapinfo user, and would like import some grids from another
software (called Minex).
At this stage, I think my best option is to import them as an ascii
files or .xls, and then regrid it using one of the functions in Vertical
Mapper, as I can't get the Minex grids into
Hi,
I have some data in tab format (all data can be displayed well in MI Pro
7.5). I used EasyLoader to upload the data into Oracle 9.2 (with spatial). I
used MI Pro 7.5 to load the data from Oracle. All point, line and area can
be displayed except text layers. How could I fix it?
Thanks,
Toan
I think the problem is that you don't have a DAT file but a TXT or XLS
file. VM can not access these files.
Solution: do a 'save copy as' from the file menu. MapInfo will then
create a DAT fil instead of you TXT/XLS for your attribute data.
When working with VM your want your data to be 100% in
