To create or even modify fill pattern you can use Visual C++.
Open the file called 'mires550.dll' (check the option "open as :
resource")
In the folder Bitmap, you'll find all the MI fill patterns.
It's not very convenient, but it's works fine.

I'm testing Mi6 with Oracle 8.1.7.
I applied the last MI Patch, I uploaded the data in the database
successfuly using EasyLoader 6.5.
When I try to open a DBMS table, a MI error occurs : "Projection are
different between MAPINFO_MAPCATALOG and SDO_GEOM_METADATA".

I tried this too unsuccessfull.
But, maybe your error "need a unique numeric column" is due to the fact
that MI can't find a UNIQUE contraint for the specified table (your view
in reality) ?

Table (via a ODBC .tab file), you can modify the line=20
