It would be good if it were somehow possible to get live co-ordinates of
the map window in the layout window, a la autocad paper space/model
space!

very nifty notepad application. You can do batch find-replace searches
on any number of open files in it. The trial version is free for about

I have two tab files 'catchment_bndry' and 'indstrial_zones'. Catchment
boundary contain subcatchment boundaries over a given area, industrial
zones (heavy industry, light industry)shows land use zones that encroach
over various subcatchment polygons. I want to find out the area each
Vertical mapper makes it very easy to do voronoi analysis on point data.
Unfortunately it doesn't help you! You could try saving your data to a
non earth projection to use the said tool and try saving it back to the
original projection. Not sure if it'll work.
