That is true but it is a very limited import you can't manipulate anything
on it's way in. You may want to look into how AutoCad Map does that import.
It uses FMEobjects. They have relicensed the drivers and it distributes with
AutoCad Map. That functionality is not native to map. It was a plugin
Dale is correct. The most common way to convert it, is using FME. There are
other ways but speaking from personal experience save yourself the headache
and just use FME. Then you just have to know the name of the application in
the extended entity data (most commonly called xdata) to retrieve it
