So the alternative to using imgxy is to send mapserver:
mapxy and mapext and imgext (where mapext=imgext) and imgsize?
Hmm, I think I tried that, but I'll take a closer look.
Sounds like the better solution is just to change Geomoose to use imgxy.

Sounds like a GeoMoose problem; you might try asking their email list.
I seem to recall a similar problem with GeoMoose 1.6.1; try using
underscores (_) instead of a dash (-) in the layer name.

The PROJECTION in the MAP portion refers to your desired output map
projection. It's whatever you want it to be. The EXTENT values (and UNITS)
must be relevant for your chosen projection.

I think it has to do with font embedding in the output pdf. Looking at the
source code, Mapserver appears to embed fonts used for symbols, but not for
text labels.

That's baffling. Two computers with the same version of Mapserver and the
same mapfile allow different data types returned (I have no clue about the

(http://mapserver.gis.umn.edu/development/rfc/ms-rfc-28). The logging function
will log more information (I think) if you set DEBUG 3 (or higher) in the map
file.

VTP (www.vterrain.org), or ossimPlanet (www.ossim.org).
Neither allow editing of map data but you can add/delete
layers. I think they will do the other requirements you
