That's 10 minutes of my life I'll never get back. The takeaway: Mr.
Gruber will spend time with a yes-man agreeing with everything he
says, but any productive engagement is beneath him because even
problematic ambiguities in Markdown don't, in his opinion, exist.

thinking about it and I use definition lists with this syntax quite a
bit in other systems where it's standard, so it just comes naturally!

It seems to me that hooking into a good existing project, like Pandoc,
and creating the proper filter (or whatever they are called) would
make sense.

It annoys me that so many Markdown editors won't allow for arbitrary
file extensions, though a few had come aro

breaks the syntax highlighting in a bad way, and it can't handle
"text_like this text"). Emacs markdown-mode is far superiors. Any tips
for using Vim more effectively?
