There is no need to worry. LibreOffice is not going to drop supporting
as many MSO file formats as it can. Every update of 3.4.x seems to be
able to do .docx files better.
ASK why they require .docx instead of .doc file format. This is the
same issue that went to court that a University

BTW I go to University and, sadly, MS Office docx format is a
requirement. So, please continue to support this feature. I know the
ODF purist will object.

yes, but be aware they'll stay if we change from beta to final state ;-)
