radial_pf error

2017-05-31 Thread Bai, Wenlei
Dear Ray, When I used 'radial_pf' to run a distribution case load flow, it gave me error as the following: Could you take a look? Thank you Wenlei [cid:fc33c53d-9172-4c9e-b66f-620fffb8bf18] Wenlei Bai Electrical Engineering, Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering Baylor University,

I’m not sure how useful it is to use an AC power flow model for a simplified zonal model. And with a DC power flow the only thing that matters is that you have one REF bus where the voltage angle is fixed and for the rest the real power injection is fixed (doesn’t matter if they are specified as

Ok, the picture helps. As long as branches 15, 21 and 26 are open, then you essentially have 3 separate disconnected radial systems. I’m not sure the radial power flow algorithms recently added to MATPOWER are capable of handling them as a single case. The standard Newton-Raphson power flow, on

By default, when solving a unit commitment problem, MOST solves the mixed-integer problem first, then re-solves the continuous variable problem to get the prices, setting the integer variables to their solved values. For some reason, under MATLAB R2016a your problem is failing on the price compu

PQ vs PV bus type

Hello everyone, I am trying to model a real power system that is quite complex. While I haven't been able to find data for every single load/generator/branch/etc. for the full system, I have begun by analyzing a simplified representation of the system where I have aggregated buses by their "zon

Thanks Ray, I don't think its a duplicate of that bug. I have submitted a new issue about this. Regards, Elis 2017-05-30 22:28 GMT+02:00 Ray Zimmerman : > Any chance this is a duplicate of issue #12 > ? If so, it should be > fixed in the current v

I'd suggest you specify 2 of them as PV node and then play around setting different values of P to reach the desired angles at those two nodes. This way you can basically define several U-delta nodes. Load Flow algorithms in general don't do more than one U-delta bus as far as I know. regards,

I think he may be referring to the real and imaginary parts of the line propagation constant gamma ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propagation_constant). Note that this is a distributed parameter (i.e., per unit length of the line), while the parameters given in the *.m file are supposed to be lum

Mr. Ray, that's exactly it. I will try to exemplify the question again using the 16 buses radial system. In this system, there are 3 bars (3 substations) that provide the power for the entire electrical network. This system consists of three feeders. With this, there is one substation for each f
