Solution: instead of
'dsn=maxdblokal;port=7210;uid=DBA;pwd=DBA;DATABASE=BWNEU'
and
'dsn=maxdbserver;port=7210;uid=DBA;pwd=DBA;DATABASE=BWNEU'
use
'dsn=maxdblokal;uid=DBA;pwd=DBA'
and
'dsn=maxdbserver;uid=DBA;pwd=DBA'

i just rechecked. removed odbc 7.4. installed sapdb odbc 7.5 (it
installed even in c:\programme\sapdb, instead
