After trying MC and
having it run fine (other than the line drawing characters), something has gone
wrong. I have rerun ./configure, make, and make install. Same
problem.
When I start mc, the
screen goes BLACK and the cursor blinks at the bottom of the screen. I

not using the right characters - it is using strange characters
(>chr(127)). I do I force it to use the right
characters/font?
In my shell, I have
LANG=en_US (so that the man pages would show the right characters).
