Check under the /home/yourname/.mc directory for a file
just called ini. In mine it has the following line:
use_internal_edit=1
When I press F4 on a file I get cooledit as my default
built-in editor.

I have have been considering changing the default colours, the man file has
info about a mc.ini file but having checked several distributions of linux,
none have a mc.ini. Is there a default version? Where is it in the
distribution?
