Yes. Both R30 and R50 have similar Li-Ion battery packs (R50's is smaller,
but the unit needs less power, so the charge life is about the same, 5-6
hours on a charge).

Personally, I think it's one of the best MD portables I've ever used. My
friend owns an R90, and I'd take my R50 over that one anytime.
