I have a Sony MDS-JA333ES MD machine, and a Tascam DA-40 DAT machine. My personal viewpoint is that if you are archiving *for personal use*, then yes, MD is OK. But if you are archiving for *historical documentation*, or for record label purposes, my personal opinion is that MD is not OK. MD
