Hi Laurent,
I think you're making a mistake by displaying "Edit" this way, when users
cannot edit.
1. You are telling users they can edit a page, and then after they click the
link, denying permission. I think this isn't a good user interface design, and
it may frustrate your users.

Dear Ryan,
Thanks a lot for clarifying it for me.
And thanks a lot for great job you are doing!

Ok I finally commented out the following lines in *
includes\parser\Parser.php* :
if( $showEditLink && !$this->mTitle->quickUserCan( 'edit' ) ) {
$showEditLink = 0;
}
If there is a better solution I would be glad to hear it

On http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Preventing_access#Restrict_page_creation
it isn't clear how one can restrict page creation in certain namespaces,
or all namespaces except certain ones. Tell me the answer and I will add
it to the wiki page. No extensions solutions for me please. Thanks.

Hi,
Is there a way to ensure that a template is included in all pages of a
particular namespace? I'd like to use our mediawiki to allow people to
annotate some things in a biology project, and the wiki URLs will be
generated automatically by an external program.
Thanks,
Matthew
