Does not seem to work too well. Most folks won't see the feature link on the
bottom of the New page and at least for me searching for features using
the advanced search function also returns all bugs even though I explicitly
selected Features only.

That is the case, yes. Any new high priority feature requests for 1.2 have to
go through some level of CCB, and pretty much have to be drop-ins, at this
point.

Really good points everyone so far, and it seems a lot of confusion comes from
the fact using Bugzilla as the featurezilla :) AFAIK there was a plan to have
a separate landing page
