Hi list,
My netbook has installed MeeGo netbook release with English locale, is it
possible to use SCIM for Chinese inputs without setting the Language to
Chinese? In Fedora, the im-chooser can turn on the scim without changing the
language setting, how do I do the same in meego? Thanks.

submitting a proposal? Andre, can you think of anyone? ;)

Hello lists,
Cross-posting to meego-dev, but further discussion probably belongs to
meego-il10n only. Please come if you have anything to add.

Hi,
could we please get some information about the release plan of MeeGo
Tablet UX? Recent images have all been broken, for instance:
* install-only boot option not working (doesn't seem to start
uxlauncher),
* windows key not working (which makes it impossible to return to the
home screen),
* no
Hi,
So, there seems to be a bit of confusion if MeeGo UX (as manifested
by the components, reference applications, design, etc) is supposed to
be a base reference UX for all/most verticals (IVI, Handset, Tablet
and even Netbook was proposed in a mailing list thread). The naming
would imply that

Hi Carsten,
I will try to answer your question from an IVI point of view.
The reference UX for MeeGo IVI is a means to demonstrate the capabilities of
MeeGo and to exercise the underlying software stack. Car manufacturers, so
called OEMs, together with their suppliers will replace the UX with a
While it may be a reference UX on some devices, I prefer to call it a
sample/demo UX on IVI because:
1. most of it was not designed for IVI
2. As designers/developers we have not asserted it is the right way to
build an IVI UX
3. It is not resourced sufficiently to deliver

Thanks Kevin! After adding my locale to the uxlaunch, I can use scim as in

Thanks for the pointer.
