Okay, I feel that I have solved the issue. It was multi-faceted: 1) When I was probing the h5 file with h5totxt, I was reading data from a wrong point (should've been at -x60 -y11 -z11, not -y0 -z0). 2) Also, when using "output-efield", there are 3 different datasets (x, y, &z) which the h5totxt wa

The tip is a 1x1x4 nickel block that has been cut to a pyramid point on one side and affixed to a nickel layer (1 unit thick) and a silicon substrate. There is also a thin layer of silver on the pyramid point of the tip. On Mon, Aug 1, 2011 at 6:26 PM, gpipc wrote: > On Mon, 1 Aug 2011 14:51:38

Hello fellow Meep users! I am measuring the enhancement of the electric field at the tip of a nickel nanotip with a silver coating on top. When I measure and compare to a blank field, the enhancement is 10^13. I find this improbable, and I ask the community for any advice on the matter. To measur
