I tried a basic application using the libmemcached library and for fetching
the stored values I came across two functions:
1. memcached_mget
2. memcached_get
According to the documentation, memcached_mget is faster as compared to
memcached_get when retrieving multiple key-value pairs.

Though it would help to have the exact error you get because from the
source code, the max value you can give for -I option is 1GB:
