Theres lots of time when winter is the trucking time of choice. Lots of logging
takes place in the winter for instance.
Not only are the logging roads easier to use but the skidders and other logging
equipment can get to the trees easier.

When its cold you just have to plan better. At -20 you remember to plug in the
car or you don't go anywhere until it warms up.

in the winter of '78 (I think).
115F can be experienced two ways: either windy (like looking into a blow
dryer on hot/high) or no windy (open the oven door after it's preheated to
450 or so and hold your face there).

The original foam lasted at LEAST 10 years and often 20+. The newer
stuff doesn't deteriorate as fast!

Yes, it does. There is a qualitative difference at about 7 to 10F, when the
corners of your mouth and eyes start to ice up. It got down to -24F once
where I lived in Indiana, and walking around outside is quite different from
10F. I drove 65 miles on the interstate that day and my car was sendin
