I bought a '91 300D 2.5T in Feb06 with 99k miles on it. You need to
find out how it was driven. Lots of short trips like mine or perhaps some
long distance drives? It matters greatly. My 2.5 with short tripsnever
fully warmed up causing carbon to build up in the cyliunder heads.
Remember decades ago when the main complaint against driving a diesel was
"Oh, I don't like having to drive to a truck stop for fuel" (most gas
stations didn't carry diesel).

The clutch in my 230E is a bit sticky, I rebuild the slave cylinder
before installation but used non genuine bits, which are a 1/4 of the
price of MB branded kits.
However it would appear that the piston seal is a bit tight in the bore.

Before I call and go to look at the vehicle, what are the listers experiences
with this vehicle. Pluses and minuses? I recall lots of past discussions
