Your engine mounts and shocks are long gone, replace them. This will get the engine carrier up off the "cup" the mount sits in, and also get the steel insert in the middle up off the frame. Nasty noise, but essentially harmless. Replace the tranny mount too, if the front ones are gone it

You can take the manifold off and leave the turbo in the car if you want -- this is how we ended up doing the head gasket on my brothers (broken exhaust manifold stud). Take the crossover pipe and the exhaust return to turbo off and you should be able to get to the studs. It's quite tight
