Another idea, which I've suggested here before, is that
the low-side fitting isn't opening correctly on your gauge
set. You end up with no real charge to speak of, and
low pressures that look like high pressures.
Not an issue, probably, if you KNOW you pushed in cans
full of stuff.

Our new 126 had a thumper in the trunk, the PO said he had to
disconnect it because the amp kept draining the battery even with the
radio off. I took the thing out, haven't fooled with it so not sure

I think the 126 was the last of the ET25's. 201, 124, and
newer all used a much different offset.

Either your compressor isn't pumping, or it's pumping into zero resistance.
Could be because of a bad reed valve in the compressor, wide open expansion
valve at the evaporator (but it seems like you'd see some pressure variance even
with the valve as far open as it goes), or something plugged b
