I am still screwing around with this 84 190D that started as a
simple delivery valve seal replacement, turned into having to swap
in , which spewed oil out so I had to pull it again and install
new o ring, and it still spews oil. I did get it running though
but it shoots oil out the bottom
The 84 pump has that vacuum controlled idle speed adjustment thing
on the back of the IP, the 85 style has the electronic control. I
found one on ebay that is the electronic style, I guess it would
work I just would not have the idle up feature when its cold or
the AC it turned on. Is there

So in reply, Wilton, the car drives fine although with less power in 3rd and
4th gear than the predecessor 300D motor, probably due to the trap oxidizer.
I am lining up the missing suspension pieces (chiefly the rear
hydroneumatic struts) and will get the SLS re-installed in the coming weeks.
At least it wasn't a train load of 9/16 nuts..
