In putting a new E320 water pump on, I thought I ought to use something
to help seal the pump-to-block o-ring connection. In looking at past
emails, I saw that Hylomar HPF was highly recommended. I looked on the
web for it and found that it's no longer available as Hylomar HPF from
Permatex, and th
120 mL of appropriate oil in the compressor, 2 oz for the receiver/
dryer and you should be good.

That is not a "square" oring. It is a "dead" oring. it may well be
the source of the leak. how do the shaft/seal look? If they look
like new, the oring may be your only problem. You have to weigh the
time/effort required to replace the WP later if/when needed against

them, mainly due to the seller giving a lousy description or not totally
disclosing the "details".
There is a lot of junk out there, it just takes time to find the good ones.

Yeah, despite this being an interesting car, I am always skeptical about
anything that would take a relatively simple effort to make it far more
presentable than it is, even more so when the seller points this out.

Looks like rear is too high, someone has mucked it up. If they increased rear
height by adjusting the SLS, the $$$ control valve will soon die. Best case
would be if they installed new springs and really thick spring pads. Worst
case they removed the SLS
